Dear College Graduate, 

The job market has changed, and so have you. When COVID-19 hit the world just a few months ago, everyone’s life changed in an instant. 

It’s not fair that you had to miss out on your graduation, saying goodbye to your friends, your last few months of freedom before entering a career and the many other amazing things that college life brings. 

Most of all, it’s NOT Fair that you have to enter a job market with skyrocketing unemployment rates. It’s hard enough to land a job out of college ,and that’s why 46% of people don’t enter the job market after graduation. 

I remember the fear and anxiety that I had around resumes, interviewing and selecting the right company. That experience taught me a lot about what it takes to get a job, much less a good job. 

That’s when I learned the truth about getting hired. The person who gets hired is NOT the Smartest, Hardest Working, Richest, or Best Dressed. It’s the person who PREPARES the MOST for the Interview and knows how to GET an Interview in the first place. 



How do I know?  
Because I had three job offers upon graduation and had beat out over 68 others for one of them. I don’t say this to brag or to impress you. I say this to validate the importance of preparing for an interview and knowing how to get an interview with the company that you want.

Yes, unemployment is up, but your hope doesn’t have to be lost. Many companies are growing, 10,000 people retire a day, over 600,000 new companies open a year, and many people who were let go won’t get hired back because of poor performance. 

Not to mention you are perfect for today’s market. You have loads of knowledge in technology, social media and online platforms that are a daily way of life for most companies. Plus, most of you won’t require a 6-figure starting salary.
